Our Mission

Saxapahaw Cares is an intergenerational community organization that facilitates assistance for adult residents in and around our village of Saxapahaw to remain comfortably in our community.

​Living & Aging in Community is healthy​

The Saxapahaw community recognizes our overall health lies in our abilities to see and care for each other. We are an inclusive community creating healthy and equitable solutions for growing older together - in all livable, social, financial, and medical aspects. These community services are centered around Saxapahaw, however extend into the surrounding rural areas where community exists and connections to services can be challenging.

What Saxapahaw Cares Does

  • We help people connect to community resources that support the needs of older adults.
  • We create programming and social events that help us all stay connected and informed.
  • We organize volunteers to help each other meet various needs around aging in place in our community.

...whether you're in Saxapahaw or the rural areas between Burlington, Pittsboro, Carrboro, Hillsborough, and Mebane we want to make sure you know you have a community who cares and understands the challenges of living and aging.
